The babka (the legendary yeast cake) is a soft, buttery, and airy pastry, born in the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe.
Between its layers hide rich fillings in an endless variety of flavors and combinations. It may not be a flawless showcase cake, but it can be braided in many ways, sliced neatly into portions, or simply torn apart by hand – and whichever way you choose, you’ll find it’s a pastry you just can’t stop taking bite after bite of.

In this workshop, we’ll dive into the world of babka – learning how to make the perfect dough, exploring a variety of fillings (participants can choose from Nutella, Cinnamon, or Drømmekage), practicing beautiful braids, and baking golden pastries that fill the air with irresistible aromas.
You’ll enjoy a live demonstration, tastings, and of course, plenty of hands-on practice – because babka is best learned by doing. And the sweetest bonus: every participant goes home with their very own babka!

Workshops FAQs
Do I need prior experience? No experience is required! Our workshops are designed for beginners and will guide you step-by-step, so anyone can join and succeed.
What ages can participate? Workshops are suitable for participants 12 years and older. Younger children may be allowed if accompanied by an adult — contact us for details.
How can I add more participants to my booking? Each workshop includes a minimum number of participants in the base price. To add more, simply add the number of additional participants when submitting your booking request — prices adjust automatically, up to the maximum group size listed.
What if I don’t have the minimum number of participants? No worries if your group is smaller, you can still book the activity by paying the base price. The base price covers the minimum number of participants, so you’re welcome to book even if you’re fewer than that.
Where do the workshops take place? Workshops are held at the host’s home within Copenhagen and surrounding areas, providing a personal, hands-on experience in a cozy and comfortable setting.
What space is required in the host’s kitchen or dining room? For each participant, we recommend a stable work surface of about 80x80 cm. Ideally, this could be on a kitchen island or another surface where everyone can comfortably gather. Please feel free to contact us and send a photo of your space for verification before booking.
What do I need to bring? Shared equipment such as an oven and sink, as detailed in each workshop description, is required. All other ingredients and basic tools are provided, and you are welcome to bring any personal or optional equipment if you prefer.
What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies? Please contact us before booking so we can discuss possible adjustments. Some ingredients may include common allergens.
Can I choose specific options (e.g., fillings or flavors)? Depending on the workshop, participants may be able to select their own flavors or fillings. If no choice is specified while booking, options will be assigned by the host.
What should I wear? Comfortable clothing is recommended, and you may want to bring an apron. Workshops involve hands-on activities and can get a little messy.
